Living with disabilities and/or illnesses

The building of the Women’s and Children’s Shelter has a elevator and a residential unit including sanitary facilities, which are completely wheelchair accessible. The communal part of the house also has another barrier-free kitchen and bathroom area.

Due to these amenities, it is possible to accommodate women, children and adolescents with specific disabilities and thus offer them protection.

If there is need for more extensive treatment in the area of nursing or basic medical care, a decision must be made on a case-by-case basis about admission or whether to stay. Of course, we do everything we can to help to arrange external outpatient support services to enable women, children and adolescents to remain in our shelters.
